Sun Goddess Earrings with Copper Oyster Turquoise

The sun was probably humanity’s first logo.

We’ve put it on flags, temples, cereal boxes, tattoos, motel signs, and approximately everything else that needed to communicate some combination of warmth, life, optimism, and being open for breakfast. Yugen Handmade adds earrings to the list. Each raw brass sunburst holds a piece of copper oyster turquoise, with unpredictable streaks of turquoise, copper, rust, and cream running through the stone. Because the material is natural, your pair will not look exactly like the pair in the photograph, which is less a manufacturing inconsistency than geology refusing to participate in mass production. Choose posts for a closer fit or French hooks for a little more movement. Apparently after several thousand years, we’re still finding places to put the sun.
