Chocolate and orange have been together long enough that questioning the relationship seems unnecessary.

Spring & Mulberry’s Blood Orange Dark Chocolate takes that particular bit of culinary chemistry seriously. Rich, fudgy 72% dark cacao gets a bright hit of blood orange, creating the kind of flavor that moves back and forth between deep chocolate and sharp citrus with every bite. Organic dates provide all the sweetness, so there’s no refined sugar or artificial sweetener getting in the way. Break off a square after dinner, have one with coffee, or discover that “just one more piece” remains one of the least reliable promises a person can make to themselves.

About the Brand:  Spring & Mulberry

Spring & Mulberry started with a fairly radical question for a chocolate company: what if sugar wasn't doing all the interesting work? Instead of refined sugar or artificial sweeteners, the brand uses organic dates to bring out the natural richness of cacao, then layers in fruits, nuts, florals, spices, and other ingredients that make chocolate considerably more interesting than simply “sweet.” Their cacao is direct-trade and regeneratively farmed, with an approach that treats chocolate less like candy and more like something worth paying attention to. Turns out removing refined sugar leaves considerably more room for everything else.
