The Collective Home’s Sphere Travel Candles tuck unscented soy wax inside four tiny polished brass containers, each topped with a satisfyingly round dome lid. At just two inches tall, they’re small enough to scatter across a dinner table, bring along for a weekend away, or put wherever a little candlelight seems like it might improve the situation. Each one burns for approximately 12 hours without adding fragrance to dinner, perfume, or whatever else is already happening in the room. Then the wax eventually disappears and the brass containers don't. Use them for rings, coins, earrings, tiny keepsakes, or the miscellaneous little objects that apparently require their own real estate.

About the Brand:  The Collective Home

The Collective Home seems particularly interested in what happens after an object has finished doing the thing you originally bought it to do. The San Francisco-based home brand works across glass, metal, stone, textiles, and other natural materials, creating useful objects with enough design behind them that usefulness doesn't have to be their only argument. The Sphere candles are a particularly good example:  what begins as four tiny candles eventually becomes four tiny brass boxes. Apparently “used up” and “finished with” were never required to mean the same thing.
