Soft Petrichor Room Mist from Nose Dive recreates the smell of just-after-rain, which is objectively strange behavior until you remember how good just-after-rain smells. Petrichor and damp bark give it that dark, earthy beginning; green tea, moss, and fresh ozone bring in the cool air; earth accord and soft musk linger after everything else settles down. The result smells like opening the windows after a storm and discovering that the entire neighborhood has somehow been reset. Nose Dive recommends spraying it in the kitchen while you cook dinner, preferably with the windows cracked and a glass of wine nearby. This is extremely specific advice. It is also difficult to argue with. Apparently what we wanted from nature was the atmosphere without the wet socks.
