Paisley has never been especially good at leaving well enough alone. There are flowers, swirls, curls, little decorative flourishes, and probably three or four other things happening in the print of this Maeve by Anthropologie mini dress. Fortunately, the dress itself knows when to stop. A square neckline, short sleeves, shirring, and a simple button front give all that green paisley somewhere sensible to live, while the lightweight 100% viscose keeps the whole thing easy and fluid. It feels vaguely vintage without committing to a specific decade, which is probably for the best since paisley has already participated in most of them.
