SSKEIN’s Ribbed Beanie takes a very good winter basic and renders it in a rich, saturated red. Scarlett does what red does best:  gets noticed without requiring much else from the outfit. The wide rib is knitted from 100% baby alpaca, giving it exceptional softness and warmth without the bulkier feel of a heavy winter knit. Fold the cuff up for a classic fit or wear it down for a little more length. It’s practical because your head is warm. It’s considerably more useful because now the rest of your outfit can be boring.

About the Brand:  SSKEIN

SSKEIN exists because founder Elisa Yip spent years working in fashion and eventually became considerably less interested in making more of it the usual way. She founded the sustainable knitwear line around natural luxury fibers sourced in South America, particularly baby alpaca, working with Peruvian production partners and designing pieces meant to survive more than a season's worth of opinions about what you're supposed to be wearing. Knitwear is fully fashioned and knitted to shape, which helps minimize leftover material, while the alpaca itself is sourced from vendors using certified ethical shearing processes. The result is quiet, beautifully made clothing where the luxury comes mostly from the material and construction rather than somebody putting a conspicuous logo on your forehead.
