Promises are strange because the important ones rarely involve paperwork.

You hook pinkies with someone when you're seven years old and somehow everybody understands that this is legally binding in a jurisdiction that exists entirely between the two of you. The Pinky Promise Ring from I Like It Here Club takes that logic surprisingly seriously. It’s a small, softly rounded band with the words “pinky promise” inscribed on the inside, where almost nobody will see them. Which feels appropriate. The best promises generally aren't made for an audience.

Give one to your best friend. Give one to the person you've somehow chosen to navigate adulthood with. Buy one for yourself because there are certain things you should probably promise yourself and then actually follow through on. Eventually the ring will pick up scratches and evidence of wherever you've been together. The words stay tucked inside. You know they're there.

About the Brand:  I Like It Here Club

I Like It Here Club was founded by designer and goldsmith Jessie Yeager in Wilmington, North Carolina, but the name goes back a few generations. The name is inspired by the morale-boosting club started by her grandfather, Fred, in WWII, which is both unusually wholesome and a pretty compelling philosophy for a jewelry company decades later. Today, Yeager makes jewelry inspired by memory, travel, old objects, and the strange way certain things become more valuable simply because we refuse to stop carrying them around. The pieces are handmade in the USA and designed to age into something more personal than what you originally bought. Eventually, if all goes according to plan, someone else will call it “my grandfather’s ring” or “my mother’s necklace,” and the whole process starts over again.
