Oh! Stripes Blue Block Print Napkins | Set of 4

Napkins that have the visual enthusiasm of someone who just received very good news.

The Oh! Stripes Napkins from Ninéh take one of design's most familiar patterns and give it a considerably more entertaining personality. Vibrant blue stripes dance across a soft beige cotton background, bringing just enough color and visual mischief to make an otherwise respectable dinner table feel a little less serious. Each napkin is hand-block printed in India using carved wooden blocks and azo-free, organic dyes, creating subtle variations that are part of the charm. Finished by skilled artisans and made from 100% cotton, they're practical enough for everyday meals and interesting enough to bring out when people come over. Because a well-set table is nice, but a table with a little personality is considerably more fun.

About the Maker | Ninéh

Ninéh is the brainchild of a mother-daughter duo who decided that good design and responsible production ought to be on speaking terms. Working with skilled Indian artisans, including women craftspeople, the brand creates thoughtfully made textiles using traditional techniques like hand-block printing, where a surprisingly complicated amount of work goes into making a simple stripe look effortless. It's an old-fashioned approach to making things, which is increasingly starting to look like a rather good idea.
