Tigers have a reputation for being difficult. These seem surprisingly agreeable.

Centinelle’s Nodding Tigers Bandana covers a soft cotton-silk twill with rows of hand-illustrated tigers who appear to be quietly acknowledging one another, you, or perhaps some private information the rest of us have not been given. Drawn by Cris Rose-Guizar in California, the repeating pattern takes one of nature’s more intimidating animals and turns it into something graphic, playful, and considerably easier to wear around your neck. The 70% cotton and 30% silk blend gives the bandana the structure of cotton with the softness, drape, and subtle sheen of silk. It can be tied around your neck, worn in your hair, or added to a bag when the bag itself has stopped contributing enough to the situation.

About the Brand:  Centinelle

California artist and designer Cris Rose-Guizar turns her fascination with nature, animals, food, and the slightly peculiar things around us into illustrated scarves, bandanas, and accessories. Rather than treating silk as something reserved for tasteful florals and extremely serious horses, Centinelle gives you bumblebees, persimmons, garden gnomes, squirrels, mushrooms, cats, chard, and whatever else Rose-Guizar finds interesting enough to draw. The pieces are designed to be versatile and worn repeatedly, combining traditional accessory shapes with artwork that refuses to behave quite so traditionally.
