14K Gold Plate Leaf Pendant

Nature has been making interesting shapes considerably longer than we have. Borrowing one seems reasonable.

CŌG’s Leaf Pendant takes the familiar organic curve of a leaf and strips away almost everything except the shape itself. Cast in reclaimed brass and finished in 14k gold plate, the softly sculpted form feels less like a literal piece of nature and more like an abstraction of one:  the curve, the movement, the slight asymmetry that made it interesting in the first place. A long 24-inch gold-fill chain gives the one-inch pendant room to hang almost like a tiny piece of sculpture, catching light differently as it moves against the body. The result is minimal without feeling severe, organic without becoming ornamental, and recognizable without needing to explain exactly what it is.

About the Brand:  CŌG

CŌG makes jewelry like someone who couldn't quite decide between becoming a jeweler, textile artist, or sculptor, and fortunately never bothered choosing. Founded by designer Jen Cogliantry in 2018, CŌG draws from textile design, sculpture, landscapes, and artists including Alexander Calder, Sheila Hicks, and Eva Hesse. Rather than beginning with gemstones or conventional jewelry forms, the work often starts with fiber:  threads are wrapped, twisted, knotted, and shaped before being translated into metal. Reclaimed brass and other thoughtfully chosen materials give those textile experiments a more permanent second life, while each piece is made in New York. The result sits somewhere between adornment and wearable sculpture.
