Late Checkout from Nose Dive is built around the particular luxury of having nowhere you need to be quite yet. Sandalwood, cedar, eucalyptus, and leather start warm and woody before lily of the valley and amber soften things up, followed by musk, oud, cardamom, iris, and ambrox lingering in the room like somebody who has absolutely seen the checkout reminder slipped under the door and chosen not to acknowledge it. It’s creamy, subtly spicy, and unmistakably santal, but more layered than the familiar sandalwood fragrance that has spent the last decade following us through hotel lobbies and expensive boutiques. Some luxuries involve five-star hotels. Others involve deciding breakfast can take another hour.
