Lapo's Non-Alcoholic Aperitivo

Lapo's Aperitivo belongs firmly in the second category. Italian orange gives it a bright citrus opening, gentian brings the bitterness, and hibiscus, juniper, rhubarb, and dandelion root add enough herbal complexity to keep every sip slightly interesting. Pour it over ice with sparkling water and an orange slice, mix it into a zero-proof Negroni, or simply give yourself something bitter and beautiful to drink while dinner takes longer than expected. It's 0.0% alcohol, although that's arguably the least interesting thing about it. The point is the ritual:  good glass, good ice, something salty nearby, nowhere particularly urgent to be.

About the Brand:  Lapo's

Lapo's was inspired by a real Italian bartender named Lapo, remembered for his tuxedo, his Negronis, and apparently understanding something important about how an evening should unfold. The brand translates that spirit into 0.0% aperitifs and cocktails built around bitter citrus, herbs, roots, and botanicals. The drinks may be non-alcoholic, but the philosophy is extremely Italian:  pour something interesting, put food on the table, invite people you like, and stop behaving as though getting somewhere else is the point.
