Some innovations change civilization. Others finally let you put chili oil on your eggs without getting a spoon involved.

OG Hot Girl takes everything worth loving about chili oil and makes it considerably easier to put on basically everything. Four toasted chili peppers, garlic, Sichuan peppercorn, and shiitake mushroom create a savory, umami-rich heat that's deliberately mild enough to enhance dinner rather than turn eating it into an endurance event. The texture is silky and pourable instead of chunky, and the squeeze bottle means you can drizzle it over eggs, noodles, pizza, dumplings, roasted vegetables, sandwiches, or whatever leftovers currently need intervention. This is less a special-occasion condiment than the bottle that slowly migrates to the front of your refrigerator because you keep finding another reason to use it.

About the Brand:  Hotgirlsauce

Hotgirlsauce was founded by Janice Miye Kim after noticing something strangely obvious:  chili oil was beloved, but nobody had made it quite as intuitive as hot sauce. Inspired by Korean son mat, the idea of food made with the care and character of the person preparing it, she reimagined chili oil as an everyday condiment rather than something you occasionally excavate from a jar. The AAPI- and woman-founded brand makes its sauces in small batches in California with clean ingredients, mild-to-bold heat, and absolutely no interest in rules about what you're supposed to put chili oil on. Which is probably why you'll end up putting it on everything.
