Wolfgang Wild and Jordan Lloyd share an interest in a surprisingly consequential question:  what happens when history looks the way the people living through it actually saw it? Wild, founder of the historical photography project Retronaut, curated the images, while Lloyd painstakingly restored and colorized them using historical research to inform the details. Together, they've created something stranger than a conventional history book. The dates haven't changed. The events haven't changed.
