We communicate constantly now, which has somehow made writing something down by hand feel considerably more serious.

The “You’re My Person” card says something simple enough to text, but important enough not to. Letterpress printed with “I’m so glad you’re my person,” it works for a partner, best friend, or that rare human who has somehow seen the entire unedited version of you and decided to stick around anyway. The handmade vanilla paper, deckled edges, and subtle impression of black ink make the message feel appropriately permanent. Write something profound inside. Write three words. Draw an inexplicable picture. The important part is that they get to keep it.

About the Brand: Farmette

Farmette is what happens when slowing down becomes a manufacturing philosophy. Founded by Loren Profit Smith in 2017, the California paper and letterpress studio makes its goods largely by hand, from transforming natural fibers into deckle-edged sheets and coloring them with botanical dyes to feeding each piece individually through antique letterpresses. The process is wonderfully inefficient by modern standards, which is precisely what makes it special. Farmette creates paper goods meant to make writing, giving, and connecting feel a little more deliberate in a world that has gotten remarkably good at making all three instantaneous.
