Tilly Doro’s Eclipse Studs borrow the best part. Two hand-fabricated crescent forms overlap into a small abstract sculpture, leaving just enough negative space to make the whole thing feel slightly different depending on how you look at it. They have presence without becoming an event, and the 24k gold-plated brass catches the light in ways their geometry probably anticipated. Lightweight, handmade, and pleasantly difficult to reduce to a basic shape. Apparently even a circle gets more interesting when part of it goes missing.

Tilly Doro began with founder Nogah Rotstein’s grandmother Tilly, who believed nothing should be wasted and that the best gifts were the ones somebody actually made. Rotstein took that philosophy rather literally, transforming recycled metals, deadstock, and repurposed materials into jewelry shaped by nature, old symbols, asymmetry, and the occasional happy accident. Turns out “waste not” is also a pretty good design philosophy.
