Lip balm is a remarkably small product to have this much thought put into it.

Summer Solace Tallow combines the warm spice of Moroccan cardamom with bright Italian blood orange for a lip balm that lands somewhere between citrus, spice, and the vague desire to order Indian food. The formula itself is remarkably straightforward: regenerative suet tallow, extra-virgin olive oil from Séka Hills, local California beeswax, organic calendula extract, and essential oils. It melts into dry lips with a rich layer of moisture and protection without requiring seventeen ingredients with names you have to Google. Keep it in a pocket, bedside drawer, glove compartment, or wherever lip balms mysteriously go before disappearing forever. The odds of finishing one remain statistically unclear. This one deserves the attempt.

About the Brand:  Summer Solace Tallow

Summer Solace Tallow approaches skincare more like cooking than chemistry. Founder Megan Bre Camp came to body care through food, holistic nutrition, natural perfumery, and a belief that where an ingredient comes from matters almost as much as what it is. Since 2014, she has made small-batch skincare by hand in Oakland using regenerative tallow and thoughtfully sourced regional ingredients, turning something the modern world largely forgot about into something worth reconsidering.
