This bracelet looks like it might have spent a few centuries buried somewhere interesting.
The Aura Bronze Bangle from Collection 1304 has the wonderfully imperfect character of an ancient artifact, minus the inconvenience of having to excavate it yourself. Handcrafted in solid bronze by jewelry designer Hannah Glover, its subtly irregular surface and warm golden finish give it a sense of age and history, even though it's entirely contemporary. There's a pleasing tension between its simple circular shape and the evidence of the human hand that made it, with small variations that give the metal its distinctive character. At just over a quarter-inch wide, it has enough presence to stand on its own without becoming the entire subject of conversation. Although, should someone ask about it, you could probably invent a fairly convincing archaeological backstory.

About the Maker | Collection 1304
Collection 1304 is the work of American jewelry designer Hannah Glover, whose background in fine arts and sculpture gives her a rather different approach to making jewelry. She begins with raw metal, clay, and wax, often carving her designs by hand before transforming them into bronze and sterling silver pieces made in the USA. Inspired by antique jewelry and the peculiar human habit of attaching enormous sentimental value to small metal objects, Glover creates pieces meant to gather stories of their own.
